Tired of depriving myself of the pleasures of a sweet snack, I searched far and wide for goodies that weren’t nutritionally void and came up empty handed. Little did I realize the answer was sitting on the shelves of my own kitchen! With the wholesome ingredients in my pantry, a lot of creativity, and even more love, I created cookies that reflect my passionate belief that good taste and healthy snacking CAN co-exist. I founded FreeDulgenceTM as a simple solution to a simple problem – how to satisfy my sweet tooth and stay true to my clean eating. Finally, freedom to choose, to snack, to indulge!
Our yummy snacks are always loaded with nutrients, all natural ingredients, and CONTAIN NO gluten, grains, dairy, preservatives or refined sugars. In place of empty additives like potato starch and tapioca flour, our gluten-free recipe includes highly nutritious garbanzo and nut flours. But the real magic of our unrefined goodies comes from our use of nature’s miracle sweeteners: stevia and coconut sugar. Stevia is an all natural herb derived from the leaves of the stevia plant. It’s much sweeter than table sugar and with zero calories a whole lot healthier too! Coconut sugar is a pure and organic sweetener produced from the flower buds of the coconut tree. In addition to being sweet and delicious, coconut sugar has a low glycemic index of 35 and is rich in amino acids, vitamin B, iron, zinc and magnesium.
